every specific contract that is applied.
Below you will find some basic highlights for each.

COSTING HIGHLIGHTS The cost of acquiring one of our puppies is based on a great number of variables, and currently has a range from $700.00 to $2000.00 plus shipping (if applicable). We have invested a great deal of time, effort, and money to help ensure that the puppies that we make available are of the highest quality in regards to Socialization & Breed Standard. Our full time Shih Tzu's have come from some of the finest Shih Tzu breeders in North America and Canada, such as Chang Tang’s of Detroit, Jofin’s, also of Detroit, RCA’s of Arizona, and from around the country, Alabama, New York, etc. Our puppies are carefully examined by our Veterinarians at Northern Animal Clinic, and are guaranteed to be as represented. Along with each pup, a Pedigree is provided so that you may trace their heritage back in time and to also to show the Champions within their bloodline. The following are some of the basic criteria we use in pricing: Size-The Shih Tzu standard is 9 to 16 pounds, the potentially smaller, the greater the cost. Coat-The fullness of the coat, the thicker/richer the coat the more expensive. (Show Quality) Color-Some rare colors may command a greater investment. (Show Quality) Symmetry-Multi colored Shih Tzu with closer to ideal balance and symmetry cost more. (Show Quality) Bite-The closer to the standard the more expensive. (Show Quality) Tail Set-The closer to the standard the more expensive. (Show Quality) Gender- Females may cost more, all other items being equal. Purpose-Show homes are negotiated, Pet/Companion homes (spay/neuter) pay less than breeders. LIMITED REGISTRATION, which means you cannot register any pups from your animal with the AKC, are less costly. (FULL REGISTRATION is available) And many other items. Each puppy and each client is special and unique. Pricing can only be determined on specific pups, their characteristics, and the environment that they would be going into. |
CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS Our CONTRACT has evolved over time to protect and provide confidence for the people and families that acquired our puppies, and also to provide assurance to us that any puppy placed by us will be well cared for. Each contract contains certain elements that are consistent and certain elements that provide flexibility for unique situations. CONTRACT HIGHLIGHTS Each puppy has been examined and inoculated, by the sellers veterinarian, and is guaranteed to be as represented. The purchaser is required to take their new puppy to their veterinarian prior to (date) __________________ for confirmation. All puppies are guaranteed against inherited health problems for a period of 1 year. NOTE: In the case where a spay/neuter is required, it is agreed that the registration papers will remain with the breeder until proof of spay/neuter is provided. It is also agreed, that any puppies produced by the above described puppy, not be sold to any owner of, or employee of, or agent of, or wholesaler of purebred dogs. ( Wholesale meaning any individual that buys puppy litter lots, or individually, for their own resale, sells puppies by the litter, trades pups or puppies for articles, et.) Where a pick puppy is part of any agreement, it is agreed that all puppies will be examined by the sellers veterinarian, and their health is deemed to be without cause for concern prior to any selections being made. POTENTIAL BREEDERS (WHICH WE CONSIDER ANY FULL REGISTRATION) As a potential breeder of pure bred Shih-Tzu dogs, you are expected to read, understand, and follow the guidelines of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and /or be licensed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). To strive for responsible breeding, in the best interest of the Shih-Tzu Breed. And to screen & educate the families where your puppies will reside.
